Message from the Interim Rector

The Reverend Canon Richard C. RoweThe Reverend Canon Richard C. Rowe

>> Welcome to the Website for The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. We are glad that you have looked us up and we sincerely hope that you might come by and worship with us. For the people of Redeemer Church, our worship of God is our first priority. Time and again parishioners have said how important it is for them to gather at the table for the Holy Communion with their friends and neighbors. Whether it is the Word of God read and preached, the choirs singing, prayers being offered, or the bread and wine being shared, the people feel nourished, forgiven and ready to 'go into the world to love and serve the Lord.' You would feel welcomed among us.

The people of Redeemer are engaged in service to others as they serve the world through their daily life and work. Together we strive to make a difference by serving the Boys and Girls Club next door to the church, as well as keeping our Food Pantry well stocked for those in need. Our Towel Ministry garage is filled with shovels and hammers, ready to assist with a household repair whenever possible. You would feel welcomed as you serve with us.

The Baptismal Office records the words from Acts 2:42 regarding the fellowship of the apostles. Redeemer folks love to get together. Sunday brunches, parish picnics, holiday meals, chili cook-off and many other gatherings, bring us all together, children and adults, to know and experience Christian fellowship. You would feel welcomed as you break bread with us.

Particularly on Sunday mornings we gather to study about and learn the lessons that our Lord Jesus imparted to his disciples, as recorded in Holy Scripture. We wait upon the Holy Spirit to continue to open our hearts and minds to the unfolding mission and ministry of God for our time and for our place. You would feel welcomed to study God's word together with us.

I look forward to welcoming you to Redeemer Church and if I can be of any service to you, please call or email.

Faithfully,
Richard Rowe
